lyrics

Hold Back
We don’t know
Hold Back
It Don’t Show
Hold Back
We don’t grow
Pull back
And let it go

Hold Back
We don’t know
Hold Back
It Don’t Show
Hold Back
We don’t know
Pull back
And let it go

Music loud but the mic is soft, sign says open but the lights is off can’t decide if I’d like to take a ride or walk cuz I got writers block and I don’t like to talk, ah
Stand tall or I might dissolve, and the mystery it might get solved, we don’t find something to unite us all then it all falls down when the fight is on
It’s the same thing but a different day, pushin down pain cuz it gets in the way and you can’t blame me when I misbehave, but every time I give in I regret the way I didn’t let it move let it fill in we got wounds ain't been healin, a few are really overdue and they spillin, listen how these women had to get it to be in it, all of them have managed to handle it the insanity granted they keep it hidden and live in different realities, It’s a damn shame this is how it had to be, all that damn shame, only fan the flames, paint fires inside ya you can’t erase
Oh me oh
Oh my oh
We livin in denial
And the pressure been rising wild
It ain’t wrong if its violence for survival

And they never knew, say they never knew, minds blown over something they would never do, not all men say it’s probably just a few but this culture is full of a patriarchal point of view
It ain’t even your fault, wondering if it’s true, feelings in a vault been emotionally abused, little boys confused, if they cry they a loser when they choose to be a user the rewards are better suited for this
Life as a man, I try to understand, we living in reaction to what violence demands, and I can see the pattern when there’s fire in your hands, you burning who you love and then the fighting never ends
Oh me oh
Oh my oh
We livin in denial
And the pressure been rising wild
It ain’t wrong if its violence for survival
I sing it ain’t wrong if its violence for survival
I mean is it wrong if its violence for survival?

Hold Back
We don’t know
Hold Back
It Don’t Show
Hold Back
We don’t grow
Pull back
And let it go
